With the match that didn’t even happen (FC Sporting VBAU 93 vs FC VBZ), our season ended last week. It makes sense to have a very quick look back to this season and see what could happen next season.
Looking at the table, it is very similar to last year, finishing 9th with 5 won and 11 lost games, right?
Wrong!
This season seemed significantly better than last one. First of all, we are in front of SC Sika, so not the last, but second last team. We conceeded less goals than last time. We got one more point. We won against quite a few strong teams, and we had quite a few high-scoring games, not to forget the months we were unbeaten.
On top of that, we felt more and more that we are one team, fighting for a common goal, as one Team, with capital T. Together with our partner team, Shamrock FC, it was great to go to the field and fight together, even if this resulted in some (bad) losses. But we were always together, always supporting each other, never blaming one another, not fingerpointing.
In the next season, it would be good to start the season the way we ended this one (not the last few games, but the wins before that) to continuously fight in the top half of the league. We are able to do so, we are capable, we are willing to become better.
