FC Kuma 1975 vs FC VBZ 4-1

We lost another game yesterday. But what a huge difference in terms of the game compared to last Friday!

We started the match with the usual formation (4-4-1-1) but with some new players in new positions. The idea of having fast, more offensive players playing back seemed good, but Kuma scored very quickly two goals, in the 2. and 6. minutes…

Afterwards, we controlled the game well, we had more chances, passing became much better. We hit the bar, had big chances, and after a chaotic situation, Tomas scored from close range. But then again came the mental meltdown towards the end of the first half, we couldn’t defend well at the back and let them get a penalty that they converted. 1-3 at half time…

During the break, we talked about how to change the score and win the match. All of us felt that this is a match we can win. The opposite team was not that strong, just they were more used to the formation with better discipline. Their player #14 was very good though.

The second half was similar to the first one. We were playing better, but we didn’t manage to score again. After 25 minutes or so, they scored again, so it was cleat that we lost another game.

What did we learn from this experience? We need to have stability at the back, and this stability require people to play together regularly, not playing with a different back four every game. We also need hard-working, fast, strong defensive midfielders who can put pressure on the opposition, not letting them pass through the midfield easily. We also need a playmaker, who can play the ball to any directions, making sure that our play stays low, not just kicking balls from the back to the front and losing it. If we do so, we will have good chances in the upcoming matches.
